How to do your daily check-in

90 seconds. Five pillars. The single habit that makes everything else on the platform work.

The daily check-in is the heartbeat of BetterUs. It takes about 90 seconds, and it's the one habit worth protecting above all others.

How it works

You'll find the check-in on your Today tab. You rate yourself across the five Wolf Logic pillars:

  1. 1Den — How safe and belonging do I feel today?
  2. 2Howl — How much did I speak up and feel heard today?
  3. 3Pack — How well did I trust and back my teammates today?
  4. 4Hunt — How sharp and purposeful did my work feel today?
  5. 5Move As One — How aligned did I feel with where we're headed?

Each pillar is a 1–5 slider. Your first instinct is the right answer — don't overthink it.

When to check in

Morning check-ins capture your intention for the day. Evening check-ins (after 5pm) unlock the Wrap-Up, which adds a reflection layer. Both are valid — pick the time that sticks.

What happens with your data

Your check-in data feeds your personal Mood Journey, your pillar trend strip, and the pack's aggregate Trust Lab score. Managers see pillar averages across the team — they never see your individual answers.

The Friday check-in

On Fridays, the check-in becomes a Friday Wrap — a slightly richer reflection that includes one "win of the week" prompt. Takes 3 minutes instead of 90 seconds, and it's worth it.

Your workplace's own questions

After the five core pillars, you may see up to three extra questions set by your admin. These are specific to your workplace — your culture, your goals, your values. They work the same way: one tap per question, done in seconds. Answering them earns you sparks, and the data stays aggregated and anonymous just like the pillar scores.

Top tips

Make the most of this feature

  1. 1

Anchor your check-in to something you already do — first coffee, opening your laptop, or before lunch.

  2. 2

A streak only breaks if you miss a full day. Checking in at 11:59pm still counts.

  3. 3

If a pillar feels unusually low, that's useful data — name why in the wrap-up.

  4. 4

If your workplace has set custom questions, answering them earns extra sparks — takes less than 30 seconds.
