How we calculate
- Turnover savings. Pack size × annual turnover × salary × replacement multiplier × turnover reduction fraction. The reduction is the only "BetterUs assumption" in this term.
- Sick-day savings. Pack size × sick days × (salary / 230 working days) × sick-day reduction fraction.
- Productivity uplift. Pack size × salary × uplift fraction. We use 2.5% by default — half the lower bound of published team-trust research.
- Net return. The three terms above, minus annual BetterUs cost. The "return on spend" multiple is gross upside ÷ cost; payback is the inverse.
