Audio resets
60-second to 5-minute guided audio moments that do exactly what the name says — reset.
Audio resets are short guided audio sessions designed to break the cognitive loop between tasks and meetings. They're the most underused feature on BetterUs — and the ones who use them tend to swear by them.
Finding audio resets
Go to /dashboard/resets to see the library. Each reset shows the length (60 seconds, 2 minutes, 5 minutes), the type (breathwork, grounding, focus, release), and which pillar it supports.
Types of resets
- 60-second resets — A micro-breath or body scan. Ideal between back-to-back meetings.
- 2-minute resets — A guided settling exercise. Use at the start of deep work blocks.
- 5-minute resets — A more complete guided piece. Use at lunchtime or before a high-stakes call.
Why they're in a workplace wellbeing platform
The research on micro-recovery is solid: 60 seconds of intentional breathing between tasks measurably reduces cortisol and improves decision quality. It's not soft — it's physiology.
No tracking
Audio resets don't appear in any admin data. They're personal. No one knows if you used them, and there's no score attached.
Top tips
Make the most of this feature
- 1
Keep the reset library bookmarked — the best time to use one is never when you're hunting for the page.
- 2
Use the 60-second reset before every difficult conversation. It takes less time than the pre-call nerves you were going to spend anyway.
- 3
The 5-minute resets are best with headphones in a quiet room — they're designed for real recovery, not background noise.
