Your privacy settings
What you control, what admins can see, and how to adjust your visibility.
BetterUs is built on a core principle: your individual answers are yours. Here's what that means in practice and how to manage your privacy settings.
What admins can never see
Your individual pillar scores from any check-in, your Mood Journey data, your wrap-up responses, your individual pulse survey answers, and your individual eNPS score. These are private to you, always.
What admins can see
That you checked in (participation rate — not what you scored), your pack-level aggregate scores (anonymised), recognitions you send or receive (these are public by design), your badge and patch collection, and your streak and spark balance (if you've opted to share).
Adjusting your profile visibility
Go to /dashboard/privacy. From there you can toggle whether your spark balance and streak are visible to packmates, choose whether received recognitions show on your public profile, and toggle presence — whether you appear in the "who's online" pack presence view.
Top tips
Make the most of this feature
- 1
Review your privacy settings when you first join — the defaults are sensible but may not be exactly what you want.
- 2
Presence (the 'who's online' feature) can be toggled off if you find it creates pressure to always appear available.
- 3
Your individual check-in data is always private, regardless of your other settings.
