Choosing the right pack type

Den, Roaming, Bridge, or Touring — each pack type is tuned for a different shape of work.

BetterUs ships four pack configurations. Picking the right one affects which rituals get prioritised, which pillar prompts surface first, and how the platform frames the team's context.

Den Pack — in-person teams

Everyone in the same building, most days. The platform emphasises belonging and voice (Den + Howl pillars) because in-person teams can slip into proximity bias.

Roaming Pack — fully remote

No shared office. The platform front-loads connection rituals — Pack Presence, Team Moments, and Move As One — because alignment is harder when you can't read the room.

Bridge Pack — hybrid

Some days in, some days out. The platform balances across all five pillars and surfaces moments that keep remote and in-person packmates feeling equally part of the team.

Touring Pack — distributed or travelling

High-mobility teams (field sales, agency, touring crew). Short, punchy rituals with asynchronous-first design so nothing requires being online at the same time.

Changing pack type

Go to /admin/settings → Pack type. You can switch at any time — it changes the ritual prompts and default Wolf Mode suggestions, not the underlying data.

Top tips

Make the most of this feature

  1. 1

When in doubt, start with Bridge Pack — it's the most flexible and you can tighten later.

  2. 2

Review your pack type quarterly as the team's working patterns change.

  3. 3

Different packs within the same workspace can have different types if you manage multiple teams.
