How to earn sparks
Sparks are the platform's currency — here's every way to earn them and why they compound.
Sparks are the reward currency on BetterUs. You earn them by doing the things the platform is designed around — checking in, recognising, completing challenges, learning.
Core ways to earn sparks
- Daily check-in — 5 sparks per check-in
- Recognition sent — 10 sparks
- Recognition received — 15 sparks
- Challenge completed — 10–50 sparks depending on the challenge
- Wolf Mode challenge — double the listed spark value
- Streak milestone — bonus sparks at 7, 14, 30, and 60-day streaks
- Learning path step completed — 20 sparks
- Survey completed (BetterUs 12, eNPS) — 25 sparks
Monthly spark allowance
Your admin may also give you a monthly spark allowance — a budget of sparks to send as micro-bonuses to packmates. These don't affect your own balance when you spend them.
Watching your balance
Go to /dashboard/sparks to see your full transaction history — every spark earned, every spark spent, and what triggered each one.
Spark milestones
The platform celebrates milestone balances at 100, 250, 500, and 1,000 sparks. Each milestone unlocks a badge and may trigger a reward notification.
